Cute and Curious Cats Popping Out of Pumpkins for a Pawsitively Purrecious Halloween

It's pumpkin season, and cats are getting in on the fun! While the rest of us are busy decorating our homes for Halloween, some curious kitties have discovered that pumpkins make pretty great places to hang out. We have to say, they're making a strong case for being the cutest Halloween decorations around.

Cats have always had a thing for climbing inside anything they can fit into. Leave an empty cardboard box on the floor, and your kitty will probably be sitting in it before you've finished unpacking. Laundry baskets, shopping bags, and bathroom sinks are all fair game, too. So it makes sense that a hollowed-out pumpkin would catch their attention. It's basically a seasonal cat bed, although we're not sure how comfortable it actually is.

There's just so much to love about a little feline face peeking out of a pumpkin. The tiny ears, the curious eyes, and those whiskers sticking out over the edge make for an adorable sight. Some kittens are small enough to fit their entire bodies inside, while bigger cats have to settle for poking their heads through the opening. Either way, we wouldn't mind having a few of these little pumpkin dwellers decorating our homes.

We have to give some credit to the hoomans who manage to capture these moments on camera. Anyone who's tried photographing a cat knows that getting them to cooperate isn't always easy. You can have everything set up perfectly, only for your kitty to decide that the pumpkin is much more interesting from the outside. Maybe they'll give it a sniff, bat at the stem, or wander off before you can take a single picture.

Even when a cat does decide to climb inside, there's no guarantee they'll stay there long enough for a photoshoot. One second, they're sitting sweetly in their little pumpkin house, and the next, they're climbing out because they've spotted a leaf blowing across the yard. We can't blame them for being curious, but we'd definitely appreciate a few extra seconds to get the camera focused!

Pumpkins are cute, but pumpkins with whiskers are even better!

Black cats really are the purrfect Halloween companions! With their sleek dark fur, bright eyes, and mysterious little personalities, they already look like they belong in a spooky movie. Add a pumpkin to the picture, and you've got the cutest Halloween scene imaginable. We love how these little voids have become such a big part of the holiday. Why sit inside a pumpkin when you can bite it instead? This kitty has apparently mistaken the Halloween decorations for an all-you-can-eat buffet. We have so many questions, starting with what could possibly be appealing about chewing on a giant raw pumpkin. Is it the taste? The texture? Or just the satisfaction of sinking those tiny teeth into something they're probably not supposed to? Whatever the reason, we hope their hoomans weren't planning on keeping that pumpkin looking nice for long.

Forget carving scary faces into pumpkins. We'd much rather have a real little face popping out of one. Just imagine walking past your Halloween decorations and suddenly seeing two ears and a pair of curious eyes appear over the top. We'd probably spend the rest of the afternoon waiting for another appearance. Who knew pumpkins could come with their own tiny, furry surprises?
